Weekly Collage: Week Three

The theme this week is “Flowers”. I’m not really a great flower painter, but am quite fond of scratching naive vases of flowers into paint, drawing experimentally with various implements. So this week I did just that, with the addition of some layers of collaged Greek text under the paint, which just shows through here and there.

You have to look very closely in the image below to see the collaged text! I got a bit carried away with the paint.

The next one is my favourite – I like the unexpected angles caused by the edges of the collaged papers under the layers of paint and oil pastel.
