A desire to document my local environment means I’m often found wandering the back streets of our village, sketchbook in hand. I’m drawn to rusty old doors, faded shutters, stepped streets, electricity meters and tumbling geraniums – there’s no shortage of material. As well as capturing everyday moments, my sketchbooks provide me with an endless sea of inspiration for potential new paintings.
Watercolour & Acrylic Sketches
On-location drawings are captured quickly with pen, ink and watercolour, whilst studio work tends to be with fluid acrylics, used rather like watercolour. Over the years I’ve developed a sizeable sketchbook collection, from which the best contenders are periodically selected to be made into prints and canvases.

Taking the process a step further, my graphic designer husband, Mick, scans all original paintings and prepares them for professional printing. This enables us to offer ready-to-hang canvases or ready-to-frame prints in a wide range of sizes to suit your walls. When enlarged, all the tiny details of the original are beautifully amplified, producing a bold image with enhanced lines and textures. Any hesitations, over-drawing, or ‘imperfections’ in the artwork remain, preserving the feeling, energy and spontaneity of the original.
