Mixed Media – Monoprint

Week two of the Mixed Media Fun workshop on Wednesday saw everyone mono-printing away like mad things…

This relatively easy-to-master technique offers endless scope for exploration…

and creativity – the possibilities for mark-making are endless…..

Working with acrylic paints as we were, forces you to work quickly….

which, as well as being quite freeing, produces some really energetic results…

with lots of fabulous personal variation in style and approach, as you can see above.

Ingrid had been busy during the week with a little unscheduled ‘home-work’ which she brought in to show us – here are some of her papers produced with techniques done on week one – beautifully collaged together into a large hanging.

Ann-Marie also brought in some of her lovely mixed media fabric & paper work plus embroidery (which I unfortunately didn’t get a photo of).
