The 2021 Calendar is here!

‘A taste of the village’ – our new 2021 Art Calendar is here! This year, our calendar features a collection of evocative, Greek village sketches, paired with a selection of tried and tested recipes from Greek tavernas. You can see all the recipes and sketches and order your new calendar HERE…

These traditional recipes are from ‘The Greek Taverna Cookbook – Chefs’ recipes from Kefalonia’, which my husband Mick and I published back in 2007. It’s long been out of print but as people still ask for it, we have plans to make it available as an e-book. Mick’s currently working on converting the contents of our paperback, wiro-bound cookbook into an e-book. As soon as it’s ready, it will be available direct from our website. If you currently receive my newsletters, you will be notified as soon as the e-book is ready. Otherwise, you can sign up HERE… to be the first to hear when the e-book is ready.

The original cookbook, which was a real labour of love, and several years in the making, is a colourful celebration of Greek taverna life. Recipes were teased out of taverna chefs all over Kefalonia, then scaled, cooked and eaten (several times) by Mick and I, to get them just right for the home kitchen. (In a former life, I used to be a wholefood cook and cookery teacher so recipe testing was familiar!)

But back to the 2021calendar… As well as twelve fully-illustrated Greek recipes, the new calendar features several new paintings and sketches – some of which were done during lockdown here in the South Peloponnese. Luckily, our village, Harakopio, provides me with tons of material and inspiration, so I didn’t have to wander far. This is the first time we have produced a recipe calendar and I hope you like it. So far the response has been really positive.

I would advise ordering as soon as possible, to allow for any possible shipping delays due to Covid. Also… we only print a relatively small number of calendars each year, and when they’re gone, they’re gone. Check out the full twelve months worth of recipes and illustrations and order your 2021 Calendar – plus perhaps one or two extra as handy Christmas gifts – HERE…
