Evangelismos to Kalithea

4th February 2012

After much double-checking of weather forecasts and looking out of windows, I eventually decided to go ahead with today’s walk from Evangelismos to Kalithea.

This cheery new beehive city has sprung up just outside Evangelismos.

We had some sun….

We had some clouds….

We had some puddles (and some serious mud!)…

some nice, dry tracks….

and even saw lots of sacks……

before arriving back in Evangelismos with 15k under our belts at the end of an enjoyable if slightly blustery day.

Many thanks to Jo Ellen for the fabulous home-made courgette cake, which went down a treat with the steaming mugs of mountain tea in the (first) kafeneon of the day. Recipe will be posted as promised in due course!
