Chrysokellaria

Blue sky, sun, snow covered mountains, and a strip of fluffy white cloud – this was the magnificent view from Chrysokellaria on 5th December….

After an extended start to the morning, viewing ‘home-work’ whilst sipping coffee in the sun outside the kafeneon, the on location sketching group took their positions in the back streets of the village….

I snuck in a quick, on the spot sketch of my own, in between tracking them all down and providing on the spot advice and encouragement….

I was drawn to this brightly coloured house, complete with full-to-bursting washing lines and a pretty courtyard, where the lady of the house was preparing fish, watched by a couple of hopeful cats….

Moto of the day….”A quick sketch is better than no sketch at all”….I may, or may not finish it later with the help of this photo.
