Sighting and Sighing

Week five of the intro draw & paint (sketchbook style) workshop is quite hard work…..

The morning started off  with a group viewing of some of the lovely drawings done at home during the week…..

plus a little look at the negative space scissors that had been finished off and the leaves we drew for painting practice….and the colour wheels that had been filled in…..

Then, following some instruction, work began on ‘sighting’ the boxes in the middle of the room….

Everyone worked really hard…..and I tried so many ways to best explain how to sight angles and relationships, that I completely forgot to photograph their drawings!

We rounded off the morning with a quick burst of wrong-handed-portrait drawing, to restore sanity and right-brain equilibrium. Photos of the boxes to follow next week!

Well done guys for trying so hard today….it gets easier – promise!
