Kaplani – Akritochori – Yamia Walk

Whether to go ahead with the walk last Saturday was a bit of a tricky decision! The weather had changed from overnight storms to dry, to rain, to dry and rain again all before the 10am start!

I was a bit worried I’d made the wrong decision when driving to Kaplani with the windscreen wipers working on full power!

As it turned out, we got only slightly damp once, and after that enjoyed a rain-free walk with some sun and patches of blue sky for most of the morning. It was positively hot in the sun at the lunchtime kafeneon stop in Yamia.

This was the first time we’d done this walk back-to-front and starting from Kaplani – it was nice to have the veiws in reverse…….and some of the hills!
