Ready to hang giclée canvas print mounted on quality stretcher bars
A ready to hang, professionally printed and stretched giclée canvas print. All artwork has been specially designed to continue around the edge of the canvas (gallery or museum wrap) except where it didn’t suit the image – in which case the sides of the canvas are white. Most canvases are stretched on 38mm bars, except smaller canvases which are on 19mm bars.
‘A Small Window’ began with a drawing done whilst I was out and about on location in the hillside village of Vassilitsi in southern Messinia. This classic scene with the tiny window, sunlit stone wall and bright red geraniums (not to mention the fabulous turquoise feta tin!) just had to be captured. The drawing was done on the spot, seated under an olive tree in the secluded courtyard-garden. Back in the studio, working from my original drawing and reference photos taken in the garden, this layered, mixed-media canvas was born.
Packaging – all stretched canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage, and then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
Delivery – canvases are made to order, so please allow up to 21 days delivery. All orders are dispatched using either courier or recorded mail and have tracking.
Care – do not hang in direct sunlight.
Quintessentially Greek… whitewashed walls, blue pots, red geraniums and an old electricity meter! This was drawn on-location in Vasilitsi in southern Messinia, but it could equally have been a scene found in the Greek islands.
