Stretched Canvas Print version
A ready to hang, professionally printed and stretched giclée canvas print. All artwork has been specially designed to continue around the edge of the canvas (gallery/museum wrap) except where it didn’t suit the image – in which case the sides of the canvas are white. Most canvases are stretched on 38mm bars, except smaller canvases which are on 19mm bars.

Rolled Canvas Print version

We allow for full gallery wrap on 38mm stretcher bars: the image continues around the sides for a seamless look, rather than being mirrored which is the usual practice. You can frame it behind glass in a standard size frame or have it professionally stretched onto wooden stretcher bars to create a ready-to-hang canvas. Navarino is an original collage painting. The background was created from scraps of Greek text and maps which relate to the story – paper from the fresh fish shop and a map of Kalamata seafront. The background completed, I overlaid my pen & ink drawings of Greek fishing boats and their paraphernalia, and added a hand-carved and stamped fish. Some acrylic painting brought the painting together. The edges were slightly textured and the finished piece was given a coat or two of clear protective varnish.

The painting was inspired by the boaty comings and goings in the active fishing harbour of Koroni, a pretty little town in the Southern Peloponnese.

Navarino measures 15 x 21cm (6 x9″) A5 and was created on 300gsm watercolour paper.

It is available unmounted and unframed for you to mount and frame as you wish.

All original artwork is protectively packaged and carefully wrapped, then sent with tracking from either the UK or Greece. You will be notified by email when the parcel ships. Delivery normally takes around 1-2 weeks.
