Nafplion is an original mixed-media painting on a small square, ready to hang canvas.
It features one of my favourite sketchbook drawings of an old house with a decorative and rather rusty balcony and a beautifully detailed roof.
The drawing has been collaged together with scraps of Greek text and handwritten notes from a couple of vintage postcards which are semi-readable beneath the paint. The painting takes its name from the postmark on the postcards – the beautiful town of Nafplion in the Peloponnese.
The finished painting has been well sealed with a protective matt varnish.
The artwork continues around the edges of the canvas which is 2cm deep (0.75″).
The canvas measures 20 x 20cm square (8 x 8″) and is ready to hang on the wall.
