Zizani to Anatoliki Militsa

Saturday 25th Feb 2012

We were lucky indeed to have a brilliantly sunny day for the last walk of a rather rainy February….

We walked from Zizani through Exochiko (via the church with a view), down to the river (a little cold-water paddling was required!), before climbing up a nice but steep new track leading to Anatoliki Militsa.

Lunch was enjoyed here in one of my favourite village plateias, sitting in the sun and discussing house prices with the 90 year old kafeneon owner, before beginning the descent home through Vlaseika.

A beautiful day of blue skies, blue flowers….and the odd 50 year old blue truck.
