Workshop – Geranium In A Feta Tin!

In this workshop, we will create a vibrant, summery painting by combining acrylic painting with handmade collage, to capture that quintessential image – a red geranium in a painted feta tin against a crumbly whitewashed wall.

First you will learn how to create an array of beautifully coloured, hand-decorated  papers for use in your collage-painting. Then I will show you how to make interesting textures with paint and you’ll also learn a bit about colour combinations, composition and art materials along the way.

This workshop is a lot of fun as it combines acrylic painting with cutting, sticking and collage-making. The techniques you will learn can easily be transferred to other subject matter so you can develop your skills at home. Absolutely no previous art experience is necessary as I will guide you through the project step by step.

At the end of the morning you will leave with a beautiful little mixed-media painting, evocative of your holiday in Greece. We will work in a standard size, which will be ready to frame and hang on your wall.
