Walk on 19th March

Today we walked from Harakopio, up to Chrysokellaria, and across to Yamia, where we stopped for a drink and ate our lunch at the kafeneon. This is one of my (many) favourite kafeneons, and has friendly owners who are happy to accommodae a group of 20 odd thirsty walkers with dirty boots and their own sandwiches.

From here, it was (mostly) downhill back to Harakopio, via the outskirts of Falanthi, and a short

stop at Aghios Pandelaimon church.

Again, the flowers were fabulous, the sky blue,
and the sun mostly shining. We met the old lady

with her two goats just below Chrysokellaria in the morning, near the turquoise bee hives.

Today’s walk came in at 15.2 kilometers, which we completed in 3 hours 56 minutes (plus 1 hour 38 for stops).

Our average speed today was 3.9 k per hour.
