The last days of Summer

Just discovered this summery little painting lurking in the studio….

It’s a mosaic-background – transparent-foreground collage that I made earlier in the summer…..

It’s entitled ‘In the Avli‘ (Greek for courtyard) and was inspired by the studio garden. The ancient blue chair has sadly now fallen apart, but the geraniums are still hanging in there, as are the olive leaves.
