Springtime Walk

On Saturday 17th March, we had a fabulous spring day for our walk from Harakopio to Aghia Triada, Assini, Memi and Mouseli.

The flowers were truly dazzling in their colour, quantity and variety….and were the hilight of the day…

The weather wasn’t bad either though!  Sunny, with a gentle breeze and a few clouds here and there. A beautiful day for lunch on the beach, by the Limenaki taverna on Memi.

Our pace was steady (3.6 kph according to the GPS). We paused here and there to admire the view, photograph the flowers, top up the liquid intake, and rest a bit on the hills…..

The first buds on the fig trees….

My first poppy of the spring…

Walkers on the return track from Memi….. Our route today was 12.6 kilometres, with a leisurely walking time of 3.31 hours plus 1.52 hours stopping time.
