Sketching in Vounaria

This week’s ‘On Location’  saw a small band of brave August sketchers up at the tiny church of Profitas Ilias, above Vounaria.

Here they are at the end of the morning….well ready for a cooling swim and a cold beer!

And here’s some of the work they produced – working away all morning, in the shade of the pine trees.

In the warm up session (wrong-handed-drawing), I featured several times as a life model!

We spent the whole morning on the little hill in the shadow of Profitas Ilias….

from where there are pretty views along the coast….

and a good choice of churchy features to focus on.

Ah, the bells…..the bells…..

As well as providing shade, the trees doubled as excellent models……

as did the little church itself.

A fabulous morning’s work everyone – you worked very hard today – especially considering the blistering heat – well done.
