September Walking from Chrani

As it’s still pretty hot here, we decided to start our Chrani-Logga-Aghios Andreas “Bus & Walk” this week at the earlier time of 7.30am.

The payback for our early start was a lovely cool ascent into the hills as we wound our way through the  olive groves en route to Kafu. After a short rest by the church, we headed onto Logga where we enjoyed a cool frappe at the kafeneon. Suitably restored, it was all downhill from there on to Aghios Andreas.

Prickly pears lined the dirt tracks along the way, too spiky to pick without goves or a jam jar….although we did sample the delights of more than one fig tree, plus a few grapes…

After the heat of July and August it was a joy to be walking again, up in the hills with good company, the peace of the early morning, and the sights and sounds of nature.
