An original mixed media painting combining fragments of Greek text with one of my drawings of a traditional Greek village.
The collage, which was created on 300gsm watercolour paper, was carefully built up with layers of papers and matte medium, then painted with artists quality acrylic paints and inks and finally given a coat of clear protective varnish.
Village View measures 12 x 12cm (4.75 x 4.75″) and comes with a white mount measuring 23 x 23 cm
(9 x 9″).
The mount fits a standard square frame (such as a 23cm square IKEA RIBBA) making a simple and economical framing solution.
This painting is part of a series of 100 paintings I recently completed on the theme ‘Inspired by Greece’ so could be hung as part of a group of small paintings with others from this series, or displayed on its own.
All original artwork is protectively packaged and carefully wrapped, then sent with tracking from either the UK or Greece. You will be notified by email when the parcel ships. Delivery normally takes around 1-2 weeks.
Quintessentially Greek… whitewashed walls, blue pots, red geraniums and an old electricity meter! This was drawn on-location in Vasilitsi in southern Messinia, but it could equally have been a scene found in the Greek islands.
