Harakopio is primarily a farming village, so these trucks are everywhere around here. I imagine they’re incredibly useful for all sorts of things. If I had one, it would be red, like this… When we moved into our new shop premises last year, the entire contents of my old art studio were conveyed down the hill in an open truck just like this. I think it only too two trips as everything was precariously piled pretty high! The jumble of roof tops behind the truck was what attracted me to draw the scene. Later, back at the studio it was painted with my favourite fluid acrylic paints and a bit of ink.
