Summer Garden captures the fresh greens and shady blues of an early summer day in a Greek walled garden. Geraniums, olive trees and old garden furniture tell the story of a brightly lit day in the garden.
The background mosaic of hand-decorated papers was created on sturdy art board. Foreground sketches – images taken from my on location sketchbooks – were applied on transparent paper collaged over the background.The whole painting was then worked on with hand-carved stamps and acrylic paints, and inks, before being given a protective coat of transparent sealant and UV varnish.
This original mixed media artwork measures 24 x 30cm ( 9 x 12″).
The painting is being sold unframed so you can frame it as you wish.

All original artwork is protectively packaged and carefully wrapped, then sent with tracking from either the UK or Greece. You will be notified by email when the parcel ships. Delivery normally takes around 1-2 weeks.
Quintessentially Greek… whitewashed walls, blue pots, red geraniums and an old electricity meter! This was drawn on-location in Vasilitsi in southern Messinia, but it could equally have been a scene found in the Greek islands.
