Koroni Monastery is one of my favourite sketching haunts. It’s an artists delight as it’s very picturesque and there is so much to draw. One could easily draw every day for weeks there and still not capture everything. There are many low doors such as these in the walls surrounding the beautiful walled garden. This pair were in a shady section of the wall, near some bright red geraniums. it’s painted using fluid acrylics and inks in paper.

Quintessentially Greek… whitewashed walls, blue pots, red geraniums and an old electricity meter! This was drawn on-location in Vasilitsi in southern Messinia, but it could equally have been a scene found in the Greek islands.
