This small original painting combines carefully selected fragments of Greek text with one of my drawings of a
stepped street in a traditional Greek village.
The collage, which was created on 300gsm watercolour paper, was carefully built up with the scraps of text and drawings – painted with artists quality acrylic paints and inks, then given a final coat of clear protective varnish.
Around The Village measures 12 x 12cm (4.75 x 4.75″) and comes to you unframed, with a white mount measuring 23 x 23 cm (9 x 9″).
The mount fits perfectly inside a standard square frame (such as a 23cm square IKEA RIBBA) making a simple and economical framing solution, should you wish.
The painting was part of a series of 100 paintings I recently completed on the theme ‘Inspired by Greece’ so could be hung as part of a group of small paintings with others from this series, or displayed on its own.
