“Life In The Village” is a new series of sunny original paintings depicting that special time of day – ‘mesimeri’, or mid-afternoon – when streets are silent and the sun beats down relentlessly on whitewashed buildings, courtyards, gardens and alleyways. Here and there, in the deserted back streets, a few cats doze, or wander from one sleeping place to another, in search of shade. Later in the afternoon, the cats begin to gather, hoping for food… soon the humans will be up and about preparing for their evening.

Individually shrink-wrapped with a cardboard insert, calendars are sent out in a sturdy protective mailer. In Europe, we ship with regular first class mail, but due to previous problems with the US mail service, we now only ship to USA with registered (trackable) mail.
Delivery normally takes around 1-2 weeks in Europe, 2-4 weeks for the rest of world. (NOTE: due to Covid, please allow for extra shipping time).
Quintessentially Greek… whitewashed walls, blue pots, red geraniums and an old electricity meter! This was drawn on-location in Vasilitsi in southern Messinia, but it could equally have been a scene found in the Greek islands.
