Playing with Jelly

In preparation for the new Monoprint Magic workshop, starting in November, I’ve been playing around with gelatine….

Having first established with Ritsa in the corner shop that the Greek for Gelatine was, well ‘gelatinee’ – with only a slight difference in pronunciation….I then had to shop around a bit to find some….

The plate was cooked up…cooled….and put into use….Above are some quick try-out prints made variously with stamping, masking, stenciling and doodling….

This one’s a bit corny….but I’m quite partial to the textures and accidental marks that appeared….plus, of course it is a rather fetching shade of blue.

Now for the second and third layers…….stay tuned!
