On Location – Koroni Monastery

As Koroni gets busy with summertime visitors, the Monastery remains a tranquil oasis….

I could spend weeks drawing in these pretty, shady gardens…

This week’s ‘ On Location’ group, however, had a mere four hours….

The first hour of which was spent variously in browsing artwork done during the week….quite a bit of art-chat…..and doing some calming, wrong-handed-warm-ups, as above…

Finding the perfect sketching spot then took people a little while….

Everyone eventually settled into their own drawings/paintings…

some (but not all) of which can be seen here…

I foolishly omitted to photograph one sketchers work – many apologies!

I’m blaming the heat, for the oversight!

It’s definitely the time of year to seek out shade now…

On Location work can always be finished later, with the help of some photos taken on site…

These lovely, graphic, plant studies remind me of my textile design days….

A great morning’s work guys – well done indeed.
