Monoprint Magic

An extremely prolific group of monoprinters rolled up their sleeves and produced a record-breaking number of monoprints this week.

Paint was flying – literally, at one point! – as everyone eagerly tried out their own creative variations on this, one of my favourite techniques.

Mostly, we worked inside, as the weather was chilly-breezy-then-sunny, but Robin braved the elements, finding a sunny corner and pinning down his artwork with stones!

So much artwork was produced that I had to speedily install a couple of makeshift ‘clothes lines’ in the garden to peg the tacky pages to.

Here’s a few – flapping in the breeze – like a string of wonderful hand-painted prayer flags.
