Mixed Media – the end of the beginning…

8th November 2011

The four week Mixed Media workshop finished yesterday, rounding off the month of creative exploration with everyone working flat out covering boxes……….

making journals……………

journals…….

and more journals…..

doing yet more cutting and sticking …….

and some rather successful last minute creative experimentation…..

I was truly impressed by the way everyone went for it, working hard to produce their own range of decorated papers, paintings, accordian notebooks and boxes…

Many thanks to Coby who brought along some delicious home-made apple cake and chocolate chip muffins to celebrate our final coffee break! (the only one we have had to take inside the studio so far due to wet weather).

Finally, everyone left the studio – dodging the rain showers – clutching a sheaf of artwork and their hand-made treasures…..

Here’s hoping the group members manage to sustain their creative impulses and continue to make art in some form at home…..I know a few people have plans to make a workspace and decorate an area of their house to make this more possible.

Well Done Everyone and Good Luck with it all.
