I’m happy to have been asked to participate in a Group Art Exhibition in Methoni and chuffed that ‘May Flowers’ was chosen as the image for the poster.
A group of local Greek artists, plus a mix of Dutch, French, English, Austrian and Australian artists are showing their work. The exhibition includes a great mix of original paintings, sculptures, wall hangings, mosaics, prints and icon paintings from a dozen different artists.
Opening night was very well attended, with a great buzz in the room and a steady flow of visitors throughout the evening. Many thanks to all who came along. It was nice to meet some new people and catch up with a couple of old friends too.
A little incident whilst setting up meant a last-minute change of display for me!! My revised set up looks like this … a mix of new original mixed-media paintings and new fine art giclee canvas prints. I love this corner spot, with a window, right by the main entrance and it’s great to exhibit in such a light and airy space.
The Exhibition is open – evenings only – from 2nd to 15th September between 8.00 – 10.30pm. We are in the nice, spacious exhibition room near the beach – pretty handy for the tavernas and cafes nearby. Do drop by if you are in the area. A rota of artists will be operating to cover the fortnight, so I will be manning the halls on a couple of evenings.
