Kaplani – Akritochori – Yamia Walk

Saturday’s walk on 10th March started off with a bit of a chilly wind as we walked out of Kaplani on the track bound for Akritochori…..

Things soon warmed up though…..especially after a cup of coffee in the kafeneon….

Soon we were winding our way up the hills behind the village……

appreciating the views and the fabulous spring flowers along the way….

After an al fresco lunch stop in Yamia and a small glass of their excellent home-made wine, we continued along the ridge tracks in warm sunshine….

A day of fresh air, pleasant company, glorious flower displays…..and a distinct feeling of spring in the air……..
