Harakopio – Mouseli – Memi Walk

Just back from today’s 10k walk from Harakopio to Memi beach and back, via Mouseli….

We took a couple of new tracks, one on the outbound, taking us via Gallini and onto the Livadakia road…

The Limenaki taverna was just opening up for the season today, so were happy for us to have a drink and eat our sandwiches there, and we had the place to ourselves…..

Taking a bit of an overgrown track on the way back, we cut across the valley….

There was still a good variety of late-spring flowers, especially in the shaded areas.

Does anyone know the name of this tree? We were told it is a ‘May’ tree?

This one I do know the name of!

Post-walk refreshments were taken in Kostas cafe in Harakopio, where a rather pleasant  ’Dodoni’ ice cream went down rather well with a fredo cappuccino!
