Happy New Year

We’ve just spent our first Christmas in the UK for the past five years. It’s so good to be back home in Harakopio, where we arrived to wind-fall oranges in the garden….and a surprise doorstep gift bag of deliciously sweet mandarins from a neighbour.

After a couple of days of clear blue skies and warm sunshine, the weather’s gone a bit mad – it’s raining cats and dogs and is scarily windy. An unfortunate day for Epiphany – not much fun diving in the sea to retrieve the cross today.

The forecast for tomorrow is suspiciously rain and storm free, so lets hope it’s accurate as I’m hoping for a lovely New Year walk from Aghia Sotira to Kastro Leone, Peran, Kastania and Peristari.

Happy New Year to one and all – Very best wishes for 2012.
