From Mandarins to Keys

The final mandarin collection, as drawn by the Thursday group….

All very nicely drawn and painted, each with their own style and personality.

For the second lesson we changed subject matter to something decidedly less fruity. After warming up with some ‘blind contour drawing‘ – first of a mug and then a key….. we continued by focusing in on the keys.

This is my sketchbook, showing a blind contour drawing of a mug and a demonstration drawing/painting of one of my keys.

It’s quite a challenging subject, especially for those new to drawing and painting.

Here’s a collection of student drawings/paintings done on week two of the Thursday group.

Very well done everyone – great drawing and excellent painting.
