From Harakopio to Koroni

On Good Friday I walked with a friend into Koroni, heading towards Mouseli, then turning south towards Asini.

This was more or less the same route I use in the “Bus & Walk” programme for Sunvil Chrani guests, when they get the local bus to Harakopio, and we meet up here and walk into Koroni.

The weeds were very high….well, actually they were fabulously floral and vibrant green ‘weeds’, and it was a dazzlingly bright day.

One possible new bit of track we checked out won’t be used in future as it turned out to be really slippery underfoot. As there were just the two of us we seemed to walk pretty fast, despite chatting and stopping for photos – our average moving speed was 4km per hour over the 5.6k route.

I am particularly fond of this back road approach into Koroni from Assini, along the ridge, where there are lots of grapevines and old agriculture huts.
