Evangelismos Walk – 26th March

Today’s walk was from Finikounda up to Evangelismos, (about 9 kilometers) where we enjoyed the midday sun, a cool drink, and some great Greek music, courtesy of the taverna owner.

Yellow gorse seemed to be the predominant flower of the day…..

Although there were many other contenders.

The return track was pleasantly downhill, with views over the sparkling sea towards Sapientza and Schiza.

By the time we reached the cafes in Finikounda, we had walked 16 kilometers in just under four hours, so were ready for a frappe by the beach.
