Cool Dimitsana

I’m recently back from an overnight Birthday jaunt up into the mountains of Arkadia, where we visited pretty Dimitsana. It was so much cooler up there – the beds still had duvets on them!

We stayed in the excellent En Dimitsana Guest House, which as well as being super clean, well-situated, and having very hospitable owners, serves the best breakfast I’ve had so far in Greece!

Narrow cobbled streets, old stone houses and traditional balconies make Dimitsana (and the neighbouring towns of Stemnitsa and Karitena) an artists paradise….

So many lovely old houses to draw…..

So much greenery….so few olive trees….so many winding roads…..so many goats…..

and delicious home-made, heart-shaped biscuits to take home…..and eat by the sea….
