A second, smaller batch of post intro-course, sketchbook style drawers & painters returned to the fold this week to undertake some leafy drawing…

Starting with a little ‘blind contour’ drawing….we progressed to the real thing….

First, arranging our leafy models in our preferred format…..

then starting to draw and paint what we saw….

which requires really looking at the shapes, colour, lights and shadows – all of which is helped by a quietened, right-brain state of mind…..

The finished sketchbook spreads – very nice work everyone – welcome back!

I almost forgot!…… ‘here’s some we made earlier‘….the covers of their hand-made sketchbooks.
