The Judas tree was, for me, the star of yesterday’s walk up into the hills behind Chrani.
They were everywhere – dotted around the slopes – their main competitors being perhaps the bright yellow gorse.
It was a bit of a hilly stroll….and a pretty warm day for early April!
but we took refuge in the shade - stopping at three strategically placed churches en route.
and pausing here and there on the track to admire the views…
and views….
and even fit in a quick bit of sketching!
Our route was just over 12.5k. Our actual walking time was 3 hours 45 minutes plus a total stopping time of 2 hours 10 minutes – with an average speed of 3.6 kph.
