The first Acrylic Painting workshop of 2013 kicked off on a bright but chilly Wednesday morning in January…
Our small group was nice and cosy inside the studio, which is now more spacious due to the removal of the useful but rather large, Hemnes day-bed!
After a brief intro, we plunged straight into painting this time, following Jackie’s demonstration on ‘blocking in’ (above)…
so by the end of the morning everyone was way ahead….
even starting to ‘draw into’ their paintings with black, waterproof ink…
but they’ll still have to do their colour-mixing exercises for homework!
There are some really great starts here – fabulous work for the first morning chaps…..
I joined in with the painting today – starting on a new, boaty painting – but am a little behind, as I was busy with the rather important job of making coffee….
After a warm-in-the-sun, mid-morning break, work continued quietly in the studio. Well done everyone – great work today and thank’s Jackie for showing us your excellent technique. To see more of Jackie’s work, go to: http://www.jackiesherwood.com/
